Technological solutions and recommendations for the restoration of destructed sections of the support zones of wooden structures by surface repair and local modification have been developed. The technological process of restoring the operability of elements of wooden structures with a damaged support section includes three stages: preparatory, main and final. Modification of wood makes it possible to obtain a fundamentally new structural material with the required physical and mechanical characteristics. It was found that the strength properties of modified wood in comparison with destructed wood increase: when compressed by 3 times, the shear strength by 2.25 times. Due to the modification, it is possible to achieve a decrease in water absorption by more than 2 times, to ensure a high level of biostability. The adhesion-cohesive characteristics of the joint and the operational reliability of the elements of wooden structures are increased. The developed technical solutions for the restoration of wooden beams with weakened destruction in the support zones of the timber, by means of local modification, are recommended for use in civil low-rise construction, as well as for the restoration of architectural monuments.
