This paper deals with the road safety situation in different countries, such as developed and developing countries, improving safety through proper pavement engineering and maintenance. It also tells about the overview of safety climate within a road development management and it likewise investigates the connection between climate and safety performance. In view on road safety management, the road safety indicators impact the growth and performance of the transport structure. Road safety is regarded as an ongoing risk management process. The appropriateness of the idea of financial harm is brought about by the nearness of a direct connection between the characteristic and monetary markers harm from accidents (Sakhapov et al. in J Phys Conf Ser 738, 2016). The development of social hazard is decreased in finding the severity which characterizes the productive effect by implementing the measures to enhance safety. This paper also covers some parts to promote some indicators to perform roadway calibration frequently with current optimum speeds. The outlined models are able to compute the efficiency of transportation systems and it also allows to trigger the advancement in road safety indicators. Road accidents are an extremely major problem nearly in every country. Although numerous safety measures have been taken to reduce road accidents, including safety rules and public enhancement programs, the total deaths are almost more than 90% of the total annual road deaths every year. Numerous examinations have demonstrated that singular street mishaps are perplexing occasions including an assortment of variables, for example, street geometrics, asphalt related designing, driver practices or human components, traffic activities and wellbeing measures, speed points of confinement and vehicle capacities (Tighe et al. in Transp Res Rec 1699, 2000). A thorough writing audit directed as a piece of the foundation for this paper proposed that little has been done to consolidate asphalt wellbeing the executives inside asphalt the board and upkeep programs. As a part of the review, the strategic improvement to reduce road accidents by concentrating on the personal behavior of the driver by having the proper knowledge about the road rules, alignments are examined. The road climate plays a key role to eliminate or eradicate the accidents from a high level to zero. Many authors determined that more road safety staffs, safety committees and safety training should be provided to individuals to eliminate the accidental loss, to achieve the low accident rate. Apart from the enforcement, the driver should be aware of personal safety, so that the loss could be minimized from maximum to minimum. The main focus of this paper is to identify the various reasons for the accidents due to negligence as well as the consequences due to personal behavior. As a major portion of the accidents is caused due to the above-mentioned conditions the simple errors in road safety management have to be mitigated or rectified so as to maintain the road transportation safer.
