The Lane-Based Strategic Deconfliction method can be applied to more than just urban package deliveries or autonomous air taxis. It is applicable wherever there is a need to keep individual flight data private from other airway users. Once such situation considered here is for the coordination of coalition military forces operating in a common theater of operations. Each force would like to be able to schedule flights in the same airspace as the other coalition members, and LBSD allows that. Another interesting development is that it is also possible to safely schedule trajectories of other objects through the air lanes, for example artillery shells. This set of capabilities is described here and combines multi-level lanes with the strategic deconfliction algorithm, and applies the NAB rogue flight detection method to find safe trajectories for non-scheduled objects.
