WorkplaceWorkplaces stress is a significant health concern in the workplaceWorkplaces that results in a lack of workplaceWorkplacesproductivityProductivity, lack of jobJobssatisfactionSatisfaction, and burnoutBurnout. While the causes and results of workplaceWorkplaces stress have been well researched, there has been little research or no clear path that seeks to consistently monitor workplaceWorkplaces stress systematically, let alone consistently reduce such stress. While the increasing use of technology can result in reduced mental health, as it relates to depressionDepression, isolationIsolation, and anxietyAnxiety, the studies included in this literature analysis suggest that technology such as smartphoneSmartphone application/usageUsage could also be a solution. In this study, a literature review of monitoringMonitoring and/or detecting workplaceWorkplaces stress as it relates to smartphoneSmartphone applications/usageUsage will be investigated using analysis programs including MAXQDAMaxqda, MendeleyMendeley, Vincinitas, and VOSviewer enabling analysis such as engagement and trend, content, co-analysis, and author analysis. Based on these analyses, monitoringMonitoring/reducing workplaceWorkplaces stress by utilizing smartphoneSmartphone application(s) is an important systematicSystematic interaction with our workplaceWorkplaces environment to promote occupationalOccupational health, work productivityProductivity, and reduce likelihood of accident(s).
