In nature, many creatures have the ability to fly, such as most birds, bats, and many kinds of insects. Among them, the flight of insects is particularly flexible, such as flies and mosquitoes. Their frequency of flapping wing is relatively high, and there are many complicated mechanisms in the way of flapping wings. Studies have shown that the wings of some insects show a figure-eight-shaped trajectory when they flutter. Such a trajectory may be helpful to the improvement of lift. In this paper, through 3D printing, laser cutting and other technologies, using resin, carbon fiber and other materials, we have obtained a flapping mechanism that can produce a figure-eight-shaped flutter trajectory, and has done some tests and verifications on the mechanism to prove the feasibility in the figure-eight-shaped flapping mechanism.
