In Chaps. 35 and 36, we are going to analyze the stability properties of an aeroelastic system by working in the Laplace domain. One way to achieve that goal is to cast the aerodynamic model in linear time-invariant form (to be discussed later in Chap. 34). In the process curve fitting is needed and the least square method (LSM) will be used (see Roger’s procedure discussed in Chap. 30). The LSM is reviewed in this chapter.
