The reasonable design of the interface layout can improve the performance of operators. This study conducted a community structure analysis of the interface elements, grouped the elements with close functional links, and evaluated the importance of the group. Finally, the interface elements were arranged according to the importance of the community and the operation path of the task. Subjects were recruited to test the original interface and the optimized interface. The results showed that the optimized interface based on the community structure analysis and the task operation path significantly improved the performance, especially for high-load tasks, providing a reference for the optimization of the interface layout.
