The global average temperature increased about 0.6°C since the beginning of the 20th century, caused by burning of fossil resources and the resulting CO2 emissions. In 1997 the Kyoto-Protocol was adopted to reduce the greenhouse gases from 2008 to 2012 at around 5% in comparison to the value of 1990, [1]. Hereby figure 1 shows that in Europe 12% of the CO2 emissions are caused by the traffic of passenger cars.
