The method of application efficiency improvement for Li-ion batteries used in electrical power subsystems of satellites is reviewed in the paper. The task was solved for a part of electrical power subsystem that consists of Li-ion batteries and onboard harness between a battery and a charge-discharge unit of a power conditioning unit. As a result of specific mass and dimensional characteristics optimization, the number of cells in the battery was defined for the specified power consumption of the satellite as well as the payload and the minimum number of wires in the harness with the standard wire cross-section.
