This paper firstly introduces the structural characteristics of the new configuration of unmanned helicopter, and uses the RCbenchmark dynamic test platform to conduct thrust and torque tests to establish a mathematical model. Then, a controller is designed to control the coaxial unmanned helicopter, realizing the full-envelope flight control. Finally, the controller was flight-proven on the software platform ardupilot. The experimental results show that the model can reflect the characteristics of the coaxial helicopter well, and the controller can realize the trajectory of the coaxial unmanned helicopter with good control effect.
