The use of Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) in aerial photography allows photogrammetry to be an affordable and fast technology for 3D map generation. In order to process the number of images acquired by UAS and to generate automatic 3D model reproduction, different platforms for post-processing have been recently developed. Several studies have been previously conducted to provide partial assistance in the selection of software, through comparisons of 3D models of physical objects. Following such contributions, the historical cenotaph located in front of the Auckland War Memorial Museum in Auckland domain park (New Zealand) was chosen as a case study. Four commercial software (Agisoft PhotoScan, Recap Pro, VisualSFM and Pix4D) were compared.
