The increasing fatigue failure of IGBT module restricts the development of related fields, so it is urgent to carry out health management and condition monitoring for its whole life cycle. This paper first introduces the fatigue failure mechanism of IGBT, and then designs an on-state voltage drop measurement circuit based on avalanche diode, including voltage measurement part and voltage isolation part. The function of the important part of the circuit is verified by PSpice simulation software. Finally, an IGBT condition monitoring experimental platform based on on-line voltage drop is designed and built to verify the measurement circuit, including measurement accuracy analysis and dynamic characteristic analysis. The experimental results are good, and the on-line voltage drop can be accurately measured.
