This paper studies the problem of aero-engine performance evaluation and prediction by using FDR data in application. It establishes the performance evaluation and prediction process based on the multiple measurement parameters. The process contains three parts: sample construction, performance evaluation and performance prediction. The paper proposes a distance-based method to quantify the aero-engine performance using multiple parameters during evaluation. Then it constructs the performance prediction model by ANN method which can predict aero-engine performance accurately.
