The platform door is an important protection device for passenger safety in the process of getting on and off the urban rail transit. This paper applies the fault tree analysis (FTA) method to diagnose the fault of the platform door control system. Based on the analysis of the control principle of the platform door, the safety function of the platform door is obtained by the HAZOP (Hazard and Operability Analysis) method. The platform door cannot be closed as the top event, the downlink method is used to obtain the minimum cut set of the fault tree, and the fault tree that the platform door cannot automatically close the door is constructed. The faults include the optocoupler fault, the inverter fault, the motor sampling circuit fault, etc., and then conduct a comprehensive analysis of qualitative and quantitative. It provides assistant decision-making for the fault diagnosis of the platform door control system and has certain guiding significance for the R&D design of the platform door system.
