In this study, the flow structure behind a circular oscillating cylinder is investigated experimentally. Dye-injected flow area was visualized with a line type continuous laser and captured with a high-speed camera. The cylinder was controlled by the active flow control method. This control method was provided by oscillating the cylinder at 90-degree angles at four different rotation rates (FR = 0.8, 1.7, 2.5, 3.3). The study was carried out at Reynolds number Re = 1000 considering the geometric dimension and flow velocity. In the study, it was determined that with the increase of the rotation rate, the vortex shedding in the cylinder wake region decreased in the flow direction and the irregular flow structure around the body was controlled. Also, it was seen that vortexes around cylinder become more and more smaller with increasing rotational ratio.
