With the development of computer, communication and control technology, urban rail transit is advancing rapidly. At present, WLAN technology is mainly used in the vehicle-ground communication of urban rail transit operating lines which works in the 2.4 GHz free frequency band. Limited by the technical characteristics of WLAN, equipment aging and wireless interference directly affect the quality of train-to-ground communication, thus affecting the quality of CBTC system. Based on the characteristics of the WLAN-based CBTC system, this article proposes a solution to replace the 2.4 GHz WLAN with the LTE-M wireless network. Through the parallel and phased implementation of dual networks, the normal operation of CBTC system was ensured during the transformation process. After the completion of the renovation, CBTC system train-to-ground wireless communication switch from WLAN to LTE-M special frequency band wireless network, can considerably increase the reliability of the train-ground communication system.
