We want to explore the idea that for our naturally evolved social cognition to be applied to artificial agents (e.g. social robots) a particular configuration of the physical characteristics of the robot (e.g. physical embodiment) is needed. For example, key social features or a topography of elements similar to a human face where the eyes are essential.
