Operational sequence for one cycle to demonstrate and to understand the possible issues in a hydraulic press are explained.
Predesign plan with PFMEA with significant characteristics with detailed control plan with complete manufacturing inputs integrated are provided in this chapter. It provides an adoptable basis for anyone to follow the control plan for any BFMC design for implementation in the manufacturing process for any product. A legend with a flow diagram is provided for a better understanding of the nomenclature used. It includes the process name, operation description, machines, devices, tools in use at each stage, tolerances and complete methods used are provided for a quick followup of the design. It includes in-process inspection of single and multiple layer press with a final inspection chart.
Quality objectives with zero defects, production rejection modes, a travel control card for the process, incoming raw material inspection, in-process inspection including the finishing line are given in this chapter.
