In the face of the leakage events in the transportation and storage of dangerous gases, how to locate the leakage source quickly and accurately is the key step to deal with such emergencies. Based on the dangerous gas detector and the unmanned vehicles, the research on the source location algorithm combining the global search and particle swarm optimization algorithm is carried out. Compared with the traditional gas source location method, the algorithm proposed in this paper improves location accuracy, reduces the search time and has a higher degree of intelligence. At the same time, the algorithm relies on less information, which guarantees the good performance of the algorithm in the complex situation of limited information. In the last, the feasibility of the algorithm for gas traceability is verified by digital simulation experiments.
