Test equipment of inertial devices has become essential calibration equipment in the production of inertial devices. But at low-rate range (< 0.001°/s), there are some problems in the current national standard (GJB1801) of calibration method for rate accuracy and stability, such as the unreasonable interval of angle measurement and the low accuracy data of internal measure. This paper proposes an improved calibration method of reasonably adjusting the angle interval and measuring by laser interferometer in the low-rate range, which fully conforms to the basic method and theory of GJB1801 to ensure the accuracy of standard transfer. The results show that this method can efficiently accelerate the process of calibration, and more accurately evaluate the rate accuracy and stability of turntables.
