Although simulators provide rich scenarios for testing and validation, the real road environment is more complicated than simulators. For the safety of autonomous driving vehicles, building hardware platforms for the vehicles as well as the traffic infrastructure becomes essential. In this chapter, we first present the indoor autonomous driving robots called HydraOne. Then we present Hydra, which is a typical design of real fully autonomous vehicle. Finally, we introduce Equinox, which is a typical design for the intelligent traffic infrastructure.
