GNSS plays an indispensable role in today’s world’s economic and military fields. The world’s powerful countries have built their own GNSS systems one after another. According to the needs of civil aviation, the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) puts forward the required navigation performance (RNP) of navigation system, which is reflected in four aspects: accuracy, integrity, continuity and availability. In order to meet the performance requirements of civil aviation, countries all over the world have developed their own satellite based augmentation system (SBAS) in order to provide navigation services with higher accuracy and better integrity for wide area users. In view of the increasingly mature Beidou satellite navigation system in China, it is necessary to research and develop our own satellite based augmentation system to provide higher quality navigation services for civil aviation users in China and its surrounding areas.
