With the problems such as urban traffic congestion, traffic safety and environmental pollution getting severe increasingly, the development of traffic perception system has attracted more and more attention around the world. This paper analyzed the situation and drawbacks of current traffic perception system, and put forward a brand-new idea based on vehicle-road cooperative perception. This paper focused on each subsystem of the traffic perception system, analyzed the key technologies of multi-source traffic data fusion perception, multi-target association and trajectory tracking in data processing dimension. By perceiving or collecting information about vehicles, road environment and traffic running conditions in the road network, it is possible to realize data sharing between vehicles and roads.
