The occurrence of small amplitudes of output signals from force and moment sensors used in the measurements of stability derivatives is a known problem. This article presents a solution to this problem by applying semiconductor strain gauges. Forced oscillation technique is used for the measurement of stability derivatives applied in the T-38 wind tunnel. The roll- and pitch-damping derivative measurements of the Modified Basic Finner Model at Mach numbers 0.6 and 1.75 were done using the semiconductor five-component strain gauge balance. The T-38 wind tunnel data are compared with the wind tunnel data of the Arnold Engineering Development Center-von Karman (AEDC, USA). Very good agreement is obtained between the data from these two wind tunnels.
