The effect of ion implantation of cesium and barium into molybdenum monocrystals Mo(110) on emissive and adsorptive properties of surface is described in the paper. Values for electrons work function of implanted sample in vacuum and at adsorption of cesium atoms on a surface from a molecular source are determined by means of a thermionic electron emission microscope. The implanted samples revealed not only the decrease in the vacuum work function but also the significant reduction of the surface adsorptive capacity relative to cesium atoms from a beam. The latter property can be used as the means to regulate the adsorptive capacity of electron and thermoemission devices electrodes.
