He has progressed from a jack-at-all-trades mechanic-driver, to a specialized highway driver with little mechanical knowledge of his vehicle and no responsibility for its repair.Proper use of today’s high speed highways and specialized equipment by the operator, makes his control over maintenance to a greater extent than ever before.Training programs and incentives used in a manner that will pro mote driver cooperation and morale are recommended as means of reducing maintenance costs.
