The Vehicle Pollution Damper system is a device that reduces PM emission. It mainly targets Diesel Soot from exhaust gases. This is achieved by the introduction of a high voltage that charges the PM which in turn is then separated from the exhaust gas. This is possible through the existence of a potential difference caused by a ground outer cylindrical shell due to. Once separated, the PM is to be regenerated so as to minimize back pressure offered to the engine. Methods such as; manual cleaning, catalytic reduction, oxidization and complete burning can be used.
