Recycling requires a continuous organized effort of all stakeholders in the recycling loop to keep it sustainable and, at the same time, immerged in the market economy. A detailed presentation of the Cycle of Iron program is given here, to show how these ideas have been steadily implemented for Steel by Arcelor with numerous partners in Europe. This has had deep consequences for such large users of Steel as the Automotive Industry, which has pioneering interests in Sustainability and in Clean and Lean Transportation..
