Results of the continuing smog program conducted by Chrysler since 1956 show that considerable reduction of exhaust emissions can be attained by rigid observation of manufacturers' recommendations for maintenance. This reduction is further improved, even below the California Standard minimum, by modifications of engines with various devices to refine distributor and carburetor performance. The Chrysler modification kit and maintenance program has produced spectacular elimination of exhaust emission.
