When the general picture of dynamic landing loads on stores is reviewed, the determination of the loads is found to be dependent either on elaborate calculations or on available but limited test data. To augment the test data, six component accelerations from drop tests of both heavy and light stores are presented. The results show high drag and angular accelerations for light-weight stores. The validity of drop-test simulation of landing conditions and problems in store load measurement are discussed. Correlation of test results with other test data and specification requirements is shown.
