The American Center for Mobility (ACM) has entered into formal agreements with ITE and SAE International to expedite the creation of voluntary standards for connected and automated vehicles, as well as associated technologies and infrastructure. Through memorandums of understanding, ACM, ITE, and SAE International will collaborate to identify specifi c areas where immediate guidelines need to be developed to ensure safe and effective deployment of automated vehicle testing and implementation technologies. The three will work in concert to pinpoint methods, processes, organizations, and business practices that can be employed to establish and expedite deployment of these standards. As international professional associations for engineers and technical experts, ITE and SAE International possess a wealth of expertise in transportation systems, mobility, automotive, and commercial vehicles.
