Two-dimensional CFD analyses are presented related to the ground testing of hypersonic, air-breathing models which feature scramjet exhaust flow simulation. CFD analysis indicates that it is possible to test aftbody powered hypersonic airbreather configurations in a static, pumped-down environment to obtain aftbody aerodynamic performance data.
