Identical ultraviolet photometer experiments were carried on the eccentric orbiting OGO-5 spacecraft and on the polar orbiting OGO-6 spacecraft. The experiments operated flawlessly and, due to sophisticated electronic design, allowed signals to be processed accurately over a large dynamic range. Scientific results gained from the post-mission data analysis efforts are summarized.
