Qualification tests were performed to determine the whether the in-service CNU-241/E Shipping and Storage Container could be utilized to contain properly dunnaged solid type hazardous materials weighing up to a gross weight of 98 kg (215 pounds). The tests were conducted in accordance with Performance Oriented Packing (POP) requirements specified by the United National Recommendations on the Transportation of Dangerous Goods. The containers conformed to the POP performance requirements; i.e., the containers successfully retained their contents throughout the specified tests.
