A docking alignment system for spacecraft docking which eliminates the problems associated with off-axis targets and sights and the requirements for specific viewing ports is described. The system is based on television cameras mounted on each spacecraft to provide an optical display to the operator. The components of the system and the manner of operation are described. Engineering drawings of the system are provided.
