A methodology for assessing of the effectiveness of anti-aircraft guns against incoming antiship missiles has been developed. This unclassified report presents the developed methodology and gives some examples based on fictitous data. An anti-ship missile is described in a vulnerability model. The kill probability of different components in the missile to proximity fused ammunition is calculated. The effect of killed components on missile flight capability is assessed and the damaged missile's flight path is calculated in 6-degree of freedom dynamic model. The result from the dynamic simulation is the distance with which the missile misses the ship, which is used to calculate the probability of survival for the ship.
