The literature of the United States for 1974 and 1975 is reviewed in the following subject areas relative to motor truck transportation: (1) economic regulation, (2) better utilization of equipment, (3) logistic improvement, (4) highways and roads, (5) environment, (6) financing, (7) the driver environment and vehicle safety. The major issues currently being debated in each subject area are identified, and the arguments for and against are presented.
