The feasibility of a solar sonde mission with a 0.26 AU perihelion was investigated. The scientific useful load, thrust requirements, construction, and possible carrier rockets are discussed along with earth-sun orbits, and design criteria. It is concluded that there is a high degree of probability of success for the solar sonde, and for launching, the Saturn 5 carrier rocket can be used.
