Following a description of the various mathematical approaches to the problem, the class of restricted, perturbed motion was analyzed using the Poincare asymptotic expansion procedure. Explicit first order analytical solutions are presented for the components of the angular velocity vector and for the attitude angles, as functions of time, for spinning, asymmetric spacecraft acted upon by both body and inertially fixed torques. The solutions are analyzed in geometric form, and the results are compared with those available in literature. Applications and areas for further research are discussed. (Author)
