The study identifies and develops transportation control strategies that will achieve the carbon monoxide and oxidant air quality standards required to be met by the State of Utah in the Salt Lake City urban area by the year 1977. The State's Implementation Plan was analyzed to verify and assess the severity of the carbon monoxide and oxidant pollutant problems, and the most promising transportation controls and their likely air quality impact were determined.
