Brazil Reexamines Rice Export Program. After several unsuccessful attempts to auction 450,000 tons of government-owned rice, Brazil reportedly is rethinking the mechanism and possible the subsidy amount. The auctions were intended to move the rice into export channels through sales to private exporters.
