Job Corps members were compared with their same-age counterparts in the U. S. population on the basis of demographic and biographic data. The data obtained showed that Job Corps enrollments are distributed 'fairly' among the states and that Corps members are somewhat older, have less education and poorer employment histories than their same-age counterparts in the population. In addition, demographic and economic data showed Job Corps enrollment patterns to be consistent with stated Job Corps policy concerning recruitment and selection.
