The National Safety Council estimates that the value of goods and services each worker must produce to offset the cost of work injuries is $350. Work injuries in the United States cost more than $37 billion. In 1985, more than 13 percent of all accidents or 9 million injuries occurred in industrial places according to the National Health Review Survey. 2.
