The Driver/Carrier Relationship Project was commissioned to address three issues. The first was to determine if drivers of commercial motor vehicles get tickets at a different rate, depending on the carrier that they are working for. The second issue was to determine if the difference was related to safety performance. The third issue was whether this information could be useful in targeting carriers for further scrutiny.
