This report is a compilation of papers presented at the 1983 International Aerospace and Ground Conference on Lightning and Static Electricity, held at the Fort Worth Hilton Hotel, Fort Worth Texas, June 21-23, 1983. It includes papers concerning lightning phenomenology, lightning characterization, modeling and simulation, test criteria and techniques, and protection of both airborne and ground systems. This conference was sponsored by the NICG in concert with the Florida Institute of Technology and in association with the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers, SAE-AE4 committee, the United Kingdom Civil Aviation Authority, Royal Aircraft Establishment, Farnsborough, Culham Laboratory.
