The study is an attempt by the Ohio Department of Highways to evaluate general systems used in determining pavement roughness and skid resistance. The instruments evaluated are (1) the Bureau of Public Roads Road Roughness Indicator, (2) the CHLOE Profilometer, (3) the California Profilograph and (4) the British Portable Skid Resistance Tester. Tabulated data and the resulting graphs and figures are presented. (BPR Abstract)
