Flight tests were conducted. This airplane incorporated special wing devices, including a scoop-slot and door arrangement, for which certain advantages were claimed. The overall drag of the airplane is very high and its wing efficiency factor is low. The effect of the wing doors on the over-all drag was usually adverse, but the results indicate that this adverse effect is very small at both the high speed and low speed ends. It is felt that the overall drag of this airplane is so high that the incremental effects of these wing doors could hardly be measured. The rate of climb of the airplane is about normal for this wing and power loading, but the special wing devices in all cases reduce this rate of climb. The stalling characteristics of the airplane are mild power off, but there is little or no stall warning power on, together with a rather sharp fall off on the left wing at the stall.
