The lift, drag, and pitching moment of a missile body with boattailing were measured at Mach numbers from 0.5 to 1.0 at a Reynolds number of 340,000 in a transonic wind tunnel. Lift, drag, and longitudinal stability of the body was found to decrease when the relative base diameter decreased.
