A Global Positioning System (GPS) orbit determination software system called the Multi-Satellite Orbit Processor (MSOP) has been developed, and uses pseudo range data to determine accurate orbits for the GPS satellite constellation. Methods and strategies specific to the precise orbit determination of GPS satellites are described, with special emphasis placed on force modeling of the solar radiation pressure and y-bias. The orbit accuracy was evaluated from analysis of P-code pseudorange data collected by the Cooperative International GPS Network (CIGNET), being primarily based on a direct comparison with the precise ephemerides generated at the Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC). Methods leading to an orbit accuracy of better than 0.5 ppm were demonstrated.
