The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD), as part of the Naval Aviation Systems Team, is the Navy's principal research, development, test, evaluation (RDTE), engineering, and fleet support activity for Naval aircraft, engines, avionics, aircraft support systems, and ship/shore/air operations. Six geographically dispersed sites combine to form NAWCAD, with the headquarters located at Patuxent River, Maryland. The sites are: Indianapolis, Indiana; Lakehurst, New Jersey; Orlando, Florida; Patuxent River, Maryland; Trenton, New Jersey; and Warminster, Pennsylvania.
